Stanbic IBTC Holdings don graduate di fourth batch of young Nigerians wey dey learn digital skills under their Digital Skills Empowerment Programme (DiSEP), and dem don officially welcome di fifth cohort.
DiSEP na one programme wey Stanbic IBTC create to help Nigerian youths build digital and employability skills wey fit help dem enter today’s workplace. Di programme dey bridge di gap between wetin people learn for school and di real skills wey companies dey find.
Di new DiSEP 5.0 cohort go run till March 2026, and this time, di bank dey focus more on bringing more women into tech, and also increasing participation from Northern Nigeria so di programme fit reach youths across di country.
Pipo wey enter dis new batch go learn advanced tech skills like Kubernetes, .NET Core, C#, software testing and automation, DevOps, and Java. All these skills dey open road enter careers like software engineering, cloud infrastructure, quality assurance, and modern app development — both for Stanbic IBTC and other tech/finance companies for Nigeria and abroad.
Di graduation ceremony happen for Stanbic IBTC Head Office for Lagos. Graduates, new participants, and senior executives gather celebrate di journey of di students wey complete DiSEP 4.0. Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Holdings, Chuma Nwokocha, give di graduates their certificates and praise dem for their hard work.
One highlight na speech from Hannah Ochim, former DiSEP 2.0 student wey now dey work with Stanbic IBTC. She explain how di programme change her life, boost her confidence, and give her practical digital skills wey help her get job for financial services.
She tell di incoming cohort:

Stanbic IBTC also launch DiSEP Alumni Network, a platform wey go help past and current participants get mentorship, networking, and career support.
Since DiSEP start, dem don train over 800 Nigerian youths, and many don get jobs for top companies. Di programme dey praised because e dey hands-on, practical, and focused on skills wey fit bring real employment.
With DiSEP 5.0 starting, Stanbic IBTC say dem go continue support Nigerian youths by giving dem skills, exposure, and opportunities to fit succeed for today’s digital economy.
