Police for Osun State don arrest one 50-year-old man wey dem accuse say e dey do bad thing to one 12-year-old girl for Ilesa, inside Ilesa West Local Government Area.
According to tori wey come from the state police spokesperson, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, the matter start when the pikin mama waka go report for “C” Division for Ilesa after she notice something wey no clear while she dey wash her daughter clothes. As the woman see one strange slimy substance for the pikin underwear, she come ask wetin happen. Na there the small girl open up say their neighbour don touch am in a bad way.
As police hear the report, dem no waste time. Dem carry the girl go one approved medical centre make doctors check her well. Na there dem confirm say the girl don face that kain assault before and say no be today the thing start.
The matter don enter the Family and Gender Unit for the State CID, and police don also move the girl go one safe centre wey dey take care of children wey need help. For the place, dem notice say the pikin look malnourished and really need better care.
Further police investigation come show say the suspect don dey repeat the act since July 2025. Dem say the man take advantage of the girl because her mama be widow wey no get stable source of income. The suspect dey reportedly give the girl ₦200 every time make she buy food and no talk wetin happen.
The Osun State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, vex well-well for the matter and condemn the act. He talk say any form of abuse against children no get place for society. He also warn parents make dem dey watch their pikin well and report any suspicious movement quick-quick to police.
Police come assure everybody say dem don hold the suspect and the matter go follow due process until justice show face. Dem also encourage community people make dem dey speak out anytime dem notice anything wey no pure around children.
