Federal Polytechnic Bauchi don put all academic work on hold as insecurity matter for Bauchi State don begin rise well-well. Di suspension come after Bauchi State Government order say all primary, secondary and tertiary schools for di state must close down until further notice. Di kain tension wey dey di state recently no allow government take chances.
On Monday morning, one internal memo waka round di school community. Di memo come from di Deputy Registrar (Academics), Safiyo Yila, wey write on top di authority of di school Registrar. E explain say di school no get any option again because government don give general instruction make all schools lock up for now.
According to di memo, di polytechnic dey follow di same directive wey government give other schools. E talk say all staff and students must obey because na for their own safety. Di memo read say:
“Based on di announcement wey Bauchi State Government give, direct make all primary, secondary and tertiary institutions inside di state close down because of security palava, we dey inform una say all academic activities for Federal Poly Bauchi don suspend immediately.”
This announcement scatter many students’ plans because some people don prepare for exams, some dey round up projects, while some freshers still dey arrange themselves for school. Many students even gather for hostel area dey ask when dem go fit resume, but school management talk say make everybody calm down first.
Deputy Registrar Yila still add say school go later announce di new resumption date when government give green light. But for now, everybody go need hold body, maintain safety and dey alert.
