President Bola Tinubu don send another batch of 32 ambassadorial nominees go Senate for confirmation. This one dey come few days after him first send three names earlier.
For the new list, former INEC chairman Mahmud Yakubu, former presidential aide Reno Omokri, and former Enugu governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi dey among the people wey Tinubu nominate.
Tinubu send two letters give Senate President Godswill Akpabio, tell am make Senate quickly screen and confirm 15 career ambassadors and 17 non-career ambassadors. According to the statement wey the President’s Adviser on Information, Bayo Onanuga release, ten women dey inside the list, four for career side and six for non-career.
For the non-career list, you go see names like Ogbonnaya Kalu from Abia, Reno Omokri from Delta, former INEC boss Mahmud Yakubu, former Ekiti first lady Erelu Adebayo, and former Enugu governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. Others include former Katsina Speaker Tasiu Musa Maigari, former Plateau commissioner Yakubu Gambo, former UBEC deputy secretary, and former senator Professor Nora Ladi Daduut.
Former Lagos deputy governor Femi Pedro, former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode, and Nkechi Ufochukwu from Anambra also dey the list.
The career ambassador nominees include Enebechi Monica Okwuchukwu from Abia, Yakubu Nyaku Danladi from Taraba, Miamuna Ibrahim Besto from Adamawa, Musa Abubakar from Kebbi, Syndoph Paebi Endoni from Bayelsa, Chima Lioma David from Ebonyi and Mopelola Adeola-Ibrahim from Ogun. More names dey from Ondo, Edo, Niger, Katsina, Borno, Kaduna, Kwara and Osun.
