Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, don officially petition the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission over serious corruption allegations against the Managing Director of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Ahmed Farouk.
The petition, wey Dangote submit through him lawyer on December 16, urge ICPC make dem arrest, investigate and prosecute the NMDPRA boss for alleged abuse of office and living far above wetin him legitimate income as public servant fit justify. According to the petition, the allegations center on massive spending allegedly linked to public funds and unexplained wealth accumulation.
Dangote allege say Farouk spend more than seven million dollars to pay school fees for him four children for Switzerland, with payments allegedly done upfront for several years. The businessman argue say based on Farouk career, wey don be almost entirely within Nigeria public service, such amount of money no fit come from lawful earnings.
The petition list the names of the children involved and the foreign schools dem attend, say this go help investigators verify the claims independently. Dangote also accuse the NMDPRA boss of using him position and the regulatory authority as tool to divert public funds for personal and family benefit.
According to Dangote, the alleged actions amount to abuse of office, breach of the Code of Conduct for Public Officers and corrupt enrichment. Dangote insist say the ICPC get full legal backing to investigate and prosecute the matter under existing anti corruption laws. He also express confidence say ICPC, working with other anti corruption agencies, fit handle the matter professionally and transparently.

The petition come after earlier public accusations Dangote make against the NMDPRA leadership during a briefing in Lagos, where he raise concerns about regulatory failures and alleged corruption in the downstream petroleum sector.
