Florence Otedola, aka DJ Cuppy, dey face colourism and body-shaming attacks even with global fame. For 2022, after swimsuit photos from her father 60th birthday yacht leak, trolls mock her skin tone. She reply:
My skin na my superpower, dark, bold, unapologetic.
Fans support am with hashtag #CuppyMelaninMagic. She use the wahala grow her brand globally.
Ayra Starr
Since 2021, Ayra Starr dey face criticism over her fashion. For Meta concert October 11, 2022, trolls talk say she dey “immoral.” She go live next day wear even shorter skirt:
My skirt short because I hot. If my legs dey disturb you, close your eyes.
She release music like Rush and Hot Body, dey promote self-confidence. Today, she dey perform globally on her own terms.
Etinosa Idemudia
Actress Etinosa Idemudia dey open about PCOS, but after she born December 2020, trolls mock her postpartum body. She confront them for Instagram:
